Over 1 million tonnes of textiles are thrown away every year. That's a lot of clothes. When you consider that it takes ten times more energy to make a tonne of textiles than it does a tonne of glass, it suddenly seems even more.
That's why we support fashion made from recycled clothing and fabrics. Not only do these look great, but they cut down the need for landfill space, reduce the pressure on virgin sources, result in less pollution and save energy.
We look for a minimum content of 50% recycled material for a product to be labelled "recycled"
