All Greenbaby garments are produced using 100% organic cotton that is certified by IMO. The cotton is grown by a co-operative who receive fair prices for the cotton crop. The garments are produced on a fair trade community project in India. The project runs a school for deaf girls and the organic clothing factory was set up in order to provide jobs for them. Green Baby was set-up in Autumn 1999 by Jill Barker. Canadian Jill had the idea of setting up Green Baby when on maternity leave with her first son Thomas. Jill had been surprised that, compared with Canada, finding natural baby products in the UK was comparatively hard. Green Baby has since developed an entire range of natural and organic products and works with a wide variety of producers in the U.K, Europe and overseas. These businesses are generally small and family run, fair trade/community projects with a passion for their products. They also have a desire to reduce the use of unnecessary chemicals and provide natural alternatives
